Talk about Screams

Many years back I walked along the “Starnberger See”, a lake south of Munich, in Bavaria, Germany. “See” means Lake in German. Lake Starnberg is one of Munich’s best weekend destinations.

Along the lake, there is a museum. As the weather was cold and rainy, I rather ventured into the warm museum building, than walk alone along the on that day, grey shores of Lake Starnberg.

I am not an avid visitor of dusty museums, but the weather forced me to.

Till today I remember fondly the for me somewhat uncommon decision. I learned something new that day.

I did something, that I never did before. I signed up for a museums-talk. It was about the artist of the exhibition, Edvard Munch. At least I knew the artist, we all know him.

Munch is known for his famous painting, ‘The Scream’. In German, it is known as ‘Der Schrei’.
